Mr. Dobko is the Government Co-Chair of the PTAC Air Research Planning Committee which facilitates fundamental and applied research in the upstream oil and gas sector. Funding for this research comes from the Alberta Upstream Petroleum Research Fund (AUPRF), an industry funded initiative whose members oversee an annual budget of several million dollars each year for environmental research across many media.
Mr. Dobko has been with Alberta Environment and Parks for well over 30 years and has a depth of experience in all aspects of air pollution control, including flaring practices in the upstream oil and gas sector that is invaluable to FlareNet. He has had active involvement in the development of air emissions standards including, but not limited to the upstream oil and gas sector and the electricity sector. He was also involved in the development of both the Alberta Stack Sampling Code and the Alberta Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) Code. He is based in Edmonton.
