Steven Zimmerman
M.Sc. Student, 2022
Steven Zimmerman graduated from mechanical engineering at the University of British Columbia in 2020, Steven will pursue an MEng in mechanical engineering in the fall of 2020 at University of British Columbia
Research Focus: Steven is currently developing a wind measurement method based on dynamic sensor data of a rotary UAV or drone, which can be used for gas-distribution measurements and on-site wind characterization. Typically, the airflow near the drone is strongly influenced by the vehicle and it is not possible to use typical wind measurement devices. This research falls under Theme 5 of FlareNet.
