FlareNet Research Team Conducting First Systematic Experiments to Evaluate Impact of Turbulent (Gusting) Winds on Flare Efficiency
FlareNet is currently running its initial flare experiments at the Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel at Western University in London, Ontario. The main focus of this research under Theme 3 of FlareNet, is to complete the world’s first systematic experiments quantifying the impacts of wind turbulence scale and intensity on emissions from flares. The objective of these initial experiments is to evaluate the impact of turbulent (gusting) winds on flare efficiency.
