Alex Szekeres

Postdoctoral Research Engineer, 2022

Dr. Alex Szekeres is a Research Engineer at Carleton University’s Energy and Emissions Research Laboratory, primarily supporting and designing experimental research in the EERL Flare Laboratory studying flare-generated pollutant emissions.  Dr. Szekeres’ doctoral research at Queen’s University focused on lowering greenhouse gas emissions in the residential energy sector, and previous work included advancing rapid prototyping techniques at Queen’s University and at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. Dr. Szekeres also has industrial experience as a mechanical engineer managing projects involving the design, fabrication, and installation of customized manufacturing equipment.

Dr, Szekeres’s will be supporting FlareNet by supporting and designing experimental research in the Flare Laboratory at Carleton University.
